What is the difference between tempered and laminated glass?
Tempered glass is heat-strengthened to be approximately four times stronger than standard annealed glass. When broken, it shatters into small, blunt pieces to reduce the risk of injury. Laminated glass consists of two or more glass layers bonded with an interlayer, which holds the glass together if broken, providing enhanced safety, security, and sound control.

What is the energy surcharge on glass products?

Glass production is highly energy-intensive, requiring continuous-run furnaces operating at extreme temperatures, along with significant electrical and fuel usage for fabrication and distribution.
